About

Built as the opposite of a cleaner app

StoragePilot started from one specific frustration. The cleaner category is full of apps that show you a fake radar sweep, serve you three ads, then delete almost nothing.

Why it exists

Phone storage fills up fast, and most people have no idea what’s consuming it. The cleaner category has spent years exploiting that gap, with ads, dark patterns, scan animations that are pure theatre, and privacy violations no file-deletion tool has any business committing.

StoragePilot is meant to be the plain, boring, honest version of that idea. It scans your device for real, tells you what it actually found, and deletes only what you confirm. All of it happens on the phone, because a cleaner app has no legitimate reason to send your files anywhere.

The principles

  • Honest about what it finds. Real file counts, real paths, real sizes. No inflated “junk found” numbers to make the clean button feel more satisfying.
  • Fast on the phones that need it. The people with full storage are usually the ones on cheaper hardware, so staying responsive on low-end devices was a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
  • Completely private. No server, no account, no telemetry pipeline. There’s nothing to leak.
  • Genuinely useful. Every tool has to do something measurable, or it doesn’t ship. Features that aren’t ready are labelled as not ready, including on this website.

Who it is for

The first users in mind were Android owners in Pakistan and across South Asia, on 32 to 128 GB devices that sit permanently above 80% full. They see “Storage Full” warnings regularly and don’t want to read a technical manual to fix it. So the app is built for people who aren’t technical, without treating them as though they can’t handle the truth about their own storage.

Who builds it

StoragePilot is an independent, solo-developer project, built as a production-grade product rather than a side experiment.

Founder bio pending

Beyond the fact that this is a solo project, no founder biography or photograph exists yet. Rather than write one on the developer’s behalf, this slot is left open until real copy is supplied.

No business model yet

There is no paid tier, no subscription and no advertising in the app. How the project sustains itself has not been decided, and we would rather leave that blank than announce something that changes later.
